New Digital Camera!

I am taking a Digital Photography class to strengthen my paintings during my final semester at SDSU. This class required a professional quality digital camera. So, using craigslist, I got a great deal on the DSLR Canon EOS 20D and two zoom lenses and I am super excited!

If anyone needs high quality photos give me a call.

Here are a few images I took this weekend at the Salton Sea.

Paintings at North Park Salon Flip

I got a fancy hair cut and am now displaying several paintings at the hair salon Flip. Just a few blocks from my home in North Park on University and Granada Ave.

My paintings will be on display for a month, so feel free to stop by and check them out and if you want to get a cut as well, I have some coupons :)

Sorrento Valley Hike

On my way to work a couple weeks ago I felt like going on a small hike and ran into this beautiful scene. I sat down in the wet fallen leaves and began to draw..

Street seen from Morley Field in Balboa Park

Lately I have had the craving to paint some small paintings. Yesterday I decided to do just that! Megan and I walked around the park for a while until I found something I thought was interesting. It was a fun little painting, taught me a little something about my self.

If you are interested in owning any of my art click the email button to your right and send me a message. :)

Very fun painting. Because of its large size I could use my entire body to make marks, and blue! blue is a wonderful color to work with.

Below is a picture of the first day painting this one, to show off its size hehe.

New Painting! Giant Yellow Dandelions

My latest painting, Yellow Dandelions.
Completed in three weeks.. I may go back into it and play around with the paint a little bit more but this is a good stopping point.

Due to popular demand I will again explain my process a little with some in progress photos :D

After stapling the large canvas to the wall I painted a couple layers of Gesso on.

After much more color, splashing around, throwing paint on the wall and letting it drip unto the ground, this is the finished result of the largest yellow dandilions youll see on canvas.

Next up I need to pull it off the wall and make this one into a giant scroll! :D Inspired by a chinese scroll in my room, I think these two flowers would look eligant displayed in this manner. Ive never turned canvas into a scroll but I can sew and I am excited, so wish me luck!
