"One day in my painting class in SDSU. I got an assignment that required me to look up a contemporary artist: Jenny Saville and to create a painting that incorporates some aspect of her art. I started work on "Face". I really wanted to work large (like Jenny) so I bought 8 feet of canvases. I took over 200 photos of my room mate Megan until I got the perfect "face". Then I began painting. It was an incredibly fun process, I took my time and experimented and ended up with a finished painting."
