Studio Visit at SDSU School of Art

I spent a couple of hours with Jessica this week in her shared studio space at the SDSU School of Art, talking with her about development of paintings an dselection of work for the actual ArtWalk booth

I’m very impressed with the thinking behind Jessica’s series of oil paintings, especially when contrasted with the liberated “whatever I feel like” range of her watercolors. The booth will feature the “Face” painting that brought Jessica all of our attention, with its secondary focus on the developing “Consumerist” series, a theme developed in both large format oil paintings (though not as big as “Face”) and small watercolors on paper…. so far.
